This book. This one right here is goddamn magic. We join Monty, Percy and Felicity on an adventure across europe.  This book holds so much joy, misery and range of emotions. It’s really quite the journey. I honestly don’t know how Mackenzi Lee managed to write such an amazing book that spoke to me so strongly.

I heard about this book when it was coming out. My friend Ness has read it MANY times this year. I kept waiting for her turn in book club since i knew this book would be a pick.

I went in optimistic, but also realized I might be disappointed. The book was lots of hype for me. Luckily it delivered in spades and I’m going to give you the top 5 reasons why this book rocked. For a slightly more in depth discussion you can watch the book club discussion here.

  1. Sexuality is represented so well! Bisexual rep is just amazing in this one.
  2. Felicity is the best unlikeable female who breaks societal norms for the time period
  3. Pirate dads
  4. I don’t know the last time I had so much fun with a book.
  5.  Re-readable x 1000
