October Wrap Up/Autumn Readathon Wrap UP

2

I can’t believe October is over. Here we sit on the precipice of the end of my favorite season. Okay really the start of it here in the south. My reading was meh this month honestly.

First of all I totally didn’t manage the readathon. I tried, but I could not manage it. You can tell by how much I didn’t read in October it was a crazy month.

The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare 3.5/5 stars – Enjoyable not my favorite Tessa Dare Book though. I’ll still read the new series by her though because I have a couple of regency authors i consider my go tos.  G|A

Rock Hard by Nalini Singh 3/5 stars – Not as enjoyable as the first book in this series, but rugby player catnip! G|A

Dear Aaron by Mariana Zapata 4/5 stars – review is here  the epitome of a slow burn romance and different formats made it really enjoyable for me. G|A

Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur  4.5 stars – so this may be one of my favorite collections of poetry now. It was beautiful to read and I highly recommend it. G|A

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater full review is here. I read this not knowing full deets on the author honestly and it was enjoyable. Am I going to finish the series? Probably not at this point. G|A

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin 4.5/5 stars – a really enjoyable YA novel. I can’t wait to finish the series up next month. Favorite book I read this month too. Full review is here. G|A

Unveiled by Courtney Milan 3.5/5  stars – This was my pick for book club this month. The full video of our discussion is here. Generally a really good regency classic with some nice twists. G|A

October is over and I finished 7 books. Not bad, but not as high as previous months have been. November should be a good bit more reading for me though. I’ve only got one trip planned and that’s for Y’all Fest. Otherwise just movies to see and time around home. I can’t wait to get into cozy reading season!

Let me know in the comments what your favorite october book was and how many books you read!
